NOTED What might these be?

While flying from CYHZ Halifax to CYPD with OLC Alaska/Canada I notice these blue white patches all along the way.

Too early for snow I think, maybe supposed to represent wetlands? I do have the ice featured turned off in Vector.

Hi there,

 

those are indeed residual patches of snow that were part of the original subalpine-forest source imagery used for this texture set. If this landclass set is placed in flatter areas then it may indeed look a bit our of place, particularly during mid-summer. I'll alert Eugene so he can check whether there are perhaps suitable alternatives or else modify the textures themselves.
