jschall
I just installed FTX Global Base. When I run FTX Central, and try to Apply FTX Global, it gives the error "Unable to locate the scenery.cfg file". My scenery.cfg file is located here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\scenery.cfg How can I proceed to Apply FTX Global?
jabble
Hiya, If you install the latest Orbxlibs, hopefully that will solve your problem.
Nick Cooper
Welcome. Your scenery.cfg file is not the one you have found. It should be in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX Please check and ensure that it is not in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX-SE Program Data is a hidden folder by default, you may need to go to Windows File Explorer\View\Options\View and enable "Show hidden files, folders and drives" to see it. jschall
Thanks for the prompt replies. My scenery.cfg file is indeed in: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX-SE. There is NO C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX. Any suggestions?
Nick Cooper
Yes. First, I must assume that you have had FSX installed on your PC already. I will make a second assumption that you have now replaced it with FSX Steam. If you now have only FSX Steam, the advice in the first green section of this topic will allow you to replace the external FSX folders named FSX-SE with ones named FSX. Once you have done this, you should have no more problems with FTX Central or the installers.
jschall
Thank you, Nick Cooper. Now I can click on "Apply" in FTX Central, with no error message. But your fix had the side effect of losing all my other scenery add-ons (
Nick Cooper
Sorry about that. If you had mentioned that you had them, I would have advised that you copied your scenery.cfg from the FSX-SE folder to the new FSX folder.
