tuppy
During a full re-install of all ORBX products I have I encountered this..... YBUD (Australia) Shortly after install commences I get the message " One or more files are write protected, overwrite anyway? " I exited install at this point and searched the Forums. The only possible reference I could find was a possible conflict with Ants Airports. I removed Ants from my scenery library and ran the installer again........ same message. ( Note: Latest triple installer, P3d V2.5 ) Questions..... Is this message related to Ants Airports? What files are the YBUD install trying to write to, and why? Is it safe to allow the overwrite? Not surprisingly I am somewhat loath to allow a program to overwrite a write protected file, on the assumption that it is write protected for a good reason! This is the only ORBX Australian airport that I have (several) that flags this particular message. Any advice greatly appreciated. chris from oz Order # FSS0365011
Ed Correia
Hi Chris, I believe that this a stand-alone P3Dv2 installer and from recollection it (the installer software) had a habit of displaying that message. The only files the installer will be overwriting will be Orbx files, so you can can allow it to continue without any worries. Make sure you end your re-install process with the latest Orbxlibs.
