  1. Ah right, I'm with you now. Yes, this seems like good advice. I'll definitely be clearing out all the nVidia gubbins that I assumed was required but apparently isn't.
  2. I don't think that'll restore your in-sim settings though. I think it's just a "feature" of updating using nVidia GeForce experience, that it'll try and optimise your in-game settings each time you install a driver. It seems that they're always lowered considerably... perhaps nVidia don't have enough faith in their own hardware! I didn't even know it was possible to install without GeForce Experience. Thanks for the tip. This is what I'll do in future.
  3. Yep, I experienced this too with a recent update, but it doesn't seem to happen every time. I now take a screenshot of all of my settings before updating the nVidia drivers so I can put them back quickly should they be messed with again.
  4. Hi all, This is really a post for the mods (who I initially tried to DM but can't). I've been reviewing add-ons for MSFS for a while now, and somehow it's only just occurred to me that it might be sensible to post the reviews I've done of Orbx's products (and maybe those of its partners?) on the review forum. I'm not able to post there, so I'm posting here in the hope that you might be able to pop my existing review videos over there, and potentially either give me access to post my own reviews going forward, or do it on my behalf. Let me know your thoughts. 5. That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation and best of luck with this and your future products - I'm sure you're right, a brand new Arlanda from you will be worth waiting for! :-)
  6. Marcus! This looks absolutely fantastic. I can't wait to see it. But I am a naturally curious (and nosy) person... why is Arlanda further down the road? I would have thought it would be an easier option as you've already done a great version for P3D, and I would have assumed that porting, updating and polishing this wouldn't need half as much work as creating a new airport from scratch?
  7. I can't imagine there being a big enough market for this to make it a viable proposition. The biggest draw to MSFS is surely the global photorealistic scenery. I can imagine there might be a few people with poor internet connections who would benefit from landclasses, but they must be a tiny minority and would probably be better of with X-Plane, P3D or FSX.
  8. Hello, I've just completed a flight from Denver into Santa Barbara at night. I wanted to do the Runway 07 ILS approach but it failed to tune in. The FMGC RAD NAV page showed "ILS 07" but no frequency, and it wouldn't let me input the frequency manually. At first, I assumed the ILS was missing from the scenery as in the initial release of EGLC, but I've just tried it in the 152 and it's working fine. Any ideas what's going on here? Is it something you can fix? Is it something I'm doing wrong? Beautiful airport by the way - very happy with my purchase other than this (and the dreadful landing that ensued from it!) Cheers, Filbert
  9. No SIDS or STARS available either and, although the ILS can be manually tuned, it's not in the FMCs or the flight planner, or known about by ATC. Figured I'd post here rather than start a new topic because I suspect it's all related.
  10. Thanks for the pointer, Nick. I did do a search for "brisbane textures" before asking my question, but will also try ICAO codes in future! I've now followed the various bits of advice in that thread. I have Aus V2 installed, and have the compatibility option for that checked in the YBBN settings. As a result, CVX_YBBN_Terrain.BGL was already appended with ".off". So I tried using the photoreal terrain option, which sorted the runway out but made the taxiways considerably worse - no yellow lines, incredibly blurry textures. Is there anything else I can try? Regards, Filbert
  11. Hi, I've recently started flying in Australia after splurging in a long-past sale. I've noticed the textures at Brisbane appear to be incredibly low resolution. I just want to check, do they look like this because it's a very old product that you're no longer working on or is it something I can fix? The runway is the worst but the taxiways aren't great either. Thanks, Filbert I'm finding
  12. Ah, so it is. Thank for pointing me in the right direction.
  13. Firstly, great work on the ESSA update - it looks super. I do, however, have a slight issue with the ground textures. They look like a snowstorm on an old black and white TV when I taxi over them with my taxi light on. The issue exists during the day as well, but is most pronounced at night as shown in the attached video. I believe I have tried changing every possible graphics setting, and none makes any difference. Any suggestions? I'm running P3D 4.4 on an i7-8700K @ 3.7GHz with 32GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. I'm getting 32FPS with the highest scenery setting at Arlanda. Thanks, Filbert ESSA ground flickering.mp4
  14. Hi, Very impressed indeed with the KSAN update. I'm very much looking forward to seeing a lot more of it on my travels now. I was just wondering if there was a way to remove the static vehicles, specifically the pushback trucks? I use GSX and they're very much in the way of my GSX pushback trucks and marshallers. Thanks, Filbert
