thanks for reposting, looks a great detailed add on, bit of a shame about the floaty bits and the way the bridge / steps sink into the ground, honestly though whilst GSX is loading the pax I tend to be in the cockpit setting up the plane so I probably wouldn't see that...

As  I noted in the video Wayne, the floating textures were due to an incompatible gsx profile that I had not removed. Once removed the problem vanished! ;)

I'm assuming you've deleted this as I see nothing?

Hi Wayne, apologies. Yes, I had to re-edit the video after having uploaded it. Once a new version is made there is no way of using the original link, so I had to re-upload the new version. Also, there's no way of editing the post on this forum to remove the original link either, which seems a bit daft 😃. What a faff! Anyway, here ya go...

    Hi Howard,

I just installed it so the update was already present.  The version # is v1.0.1  If you have the same then it's updated.

Rob, where on earth do I find the version number of the scenery? Thanks.  EDIT:  No problem. Just seen the update this minute! Cheers.

    Hello,
this extract from the original User Guide is still relevant.

    21.jpg

This refers to a product that was released several years ago and which has been subject to scrutiny from all angles.
On this occasion, the product under discussion does not yet exist.

Any news on the orange runway textures with the MSFS version Nick? You did say some time ago that it was being looked at.;)

  5. After having just purchased MK Studios' LEBL on Monday 4th, I understand that there is an update to the original release on the same day. Was the version I purchased on Monday one which has been updated, or are you still waiting to publish the updated version? Thanks.

  6. Unsure how I go about asking for a refund, but after having just bought LIEO Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport V2, I thought I had downloaded a mistake! It's going to be tough for me to keep negative comments to a minimum, so I will apologise in advance, but I am extremely upset that Orbx are marketing such a scenery. I have wanted to buy this airport for some time and after seeing Orbx introduce version 2, and after having read the product description, I decided to purchase the scenery, and did so about an hour ago. Excited to take a look around, I was aghast at the extremely low textures that have been used, I mean there is clearly a problem, has the original version of this airport been uploaded by mistake? this is a serious question.

The textures are some of the worst I have seen in any airport scenery for years! I specifically bought this airport because of the sales blurb on the website:   Remastered all airport buildings with new 4k textures and details   These are most certainly not 4K textures. The whole airport has been revamped - nothing left from v1    Blimey, then I can't imagine what version 1 was like. I really don't wish to come across as moaning, but this is more than a slight disappointment.

There are other aspects of the scenery that I feel have been overlooked, but it's the textures which clearly fall short by a mile of what is acceptable when the product clearly states 4K textures. If I could get some guidance on a refund of this scenery I would be very grateful. Thank you.

    Hello Howard,

it wasn't designed to need photogrammetry, but it always needed Bing Imagery to be switched on.
It is not alone in this, but anyone who runs MSFS without Bing imagery, might as well be back in FSX, so it's a non-issue.

As you should be aware, every time Asobo produce a Simulator update, they change things, often without mentioning that
they did and in any case without giving third party developers any notice.

Immediately after SU 14, trees appeared where they shouldn't and the very next day, Marcus published an update to fix that.
However, it needed photogrammetry to be switched on to work.

Now, he is going to make another update that does not rely on photogrammetry to remove the trees.

So you can see that the photogrammetry "issue" is not a design concept, but a necessary reaction to changes that were not
forseen by anyone outside Asobo and not evident until they had been made.

Thanks for the explanation Nick, appreciated.

  8. Apologies to jump in here guys, but I want to drop my penny's worth in as it's pretty relevent I feel. What is it with developers who create scenery that needs to have PG switched on before it functions corrrectly? Not long ago I bought Seville (MK Studios) and I had issues with trees on the taxiways! When I complained about this, I too was told that the scenery had been designed to work with PG on. I find this very very odd. Why is this? IMO this is like selling a car to customers telling them that it will only work properly if the driver ensures they drive it with a full tank of petrol! (probably not a great example, but I'm sure you get my point.) I suspect there are as many people simming with PG off, as there are people flying with PG on. To me, it makes no sense whatsoever to restrict a properly functioning scenery to only those people who operate their sim in a particular way. If there is a valid reason for this, then I'd love to hear it. Thanks. ;)

I'm not sure if anything 'official' is intended but I appreciate exactly what you guys are saying and am in the process of sorting out an 'unofficial' KMZ file to show the landmarks present in GB South on Google Earth.

Time consuming and I've a few other things on so please bear with me. I would hope to have it finished by Sunday at the latest.

Kjaye - there is a version of HMS Victory included, not sure if Seafront Simulations will exclude that or not.

    All the best,

    John

That would be helpful John. I have been waiting for this release and I don't really want to purchase it if it is does not have the POIs that are of interest to me. eg, in particular, Wells Cathedral, which should be an obvious one, I hope. ;)

  10. On Monday 31st I purchased and installed MK's CYUL.  I notice they have since released an update. When I go to Orbx central to redownlaod the product, I notice it is still showing at V1 and not V1.1 My question is, how long is it before an update will appear for this scenery, also, in general, how long do customers need to wait before similar products' updates are released? Thanks.

But your commend above was not a constructive criticism but it was only sarcastic and totally unnecessary.

Wolfko, nothing sarcastic my post at all for goodness sake. I'm not getting into darn arguments on the forum about something so trivial. This is a forum for people to chat and pass comments and opinions.  I simply mentioned I hear what was being said a lot, I fail to see what is sarcastic about that, I was stating fact.

Thanks, comments like that really warm the hearts of those of us who spend hours trying to provide customer support.

Hey Nick, I have supported Orbx for the past 13 years, with hundreds of addons. Like many others I have seen how the company has changed. Some would argue not for the better. Anyone in business should accept and appreciate any kind of feedback about their service or products, whether it's positive or negative. Negative comments are not always welcome, but they should be accepted and acted on accordingly to improve the business. At the end of the day, I simply said what I have heard from many simmers, that customer care is somewhat lacking to how it used to be. Take it how you wish Nick, as I said, just sayin. ;)
