Hello,
I looked at this scenery in depth and worked to some extent with the developer, AUSCENE, to correct some problems. I was initially unable to land the FlyInside Bell 47G on any of the pads; It mostly sunk in then the Sim crashed. It seemed that only the Airbus H 135 Helicopter Mod would work. Then we had Sim crashes while moving around using the Drone Camera, so I was unable to get video footage for a review!
With some effort, this all was pretty much solved when Auscene release Version 1.0.2, the latest version - and now we have something of a beautiful little vacation spot just 30 minutes away from Hamilton Island!
Video One - is the Main Review in which I discuss issues . . .
In video 2, I show the results of installing the new version, 1.0.2 which pretty much fixes almost all of the issues.
Note that I have also contacted FlyInside to discuss the issues raised in this scenery - and they do plan to release a float equipped version of the Bell 47!
Hope you enjoy it

Lee

Hello Folks,
Reviewed on my channel for your viewing pleasure . . .
I really like this - hope you enjoy it.

Paul,
So sorry to come back so late on this - but no, I do NOT have this installed!
It never ceases to amaze me how different results are obtained by different users with the same scenery/elements/installations . . . .

Hi
Saw this on sale so decided to purchase.
Had a slight issue with water either side of the runway. I altered the Scenery priority and that seems to have fixed it. But I have water in about 4-5 different areas coming down the hills (lavada) I guess. However, in the video above the scenery doesn’t seem to have these water issues and I am wondering what I am doing wrong. I have already deleted the Asobo version and have no add on mesh. I also deleted my rolling cache and scenery indexes plus the Content.xml file. (Sorry not near PC so can’t provide a screenshot at the moment)
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Paul,
Sorry for the late reply.
I'm not entirely sure. I saw the water climbibg up the hillsides with the Asobo version, but it disappeared when I deleted the Asobo scenery. I cannot duplicate your issue I'm afraid. Maybe try doing a fresh install of the scenery and see if it helps.

Orbx is a reseller for AUScene who developed the scenery.
This is from the Orbx Direct page :
This product has been produced by AUscene. For AUscene product support, please to go https://auscenes.com/pages/about-us
Ok John,
Thanks for that. Just thought that Orbx might have some influence or that Auscene would view these pages . . .
Cool - cheers,

Well,
I'm not bad at flying the FlyInside Bell 47G, but I simply cannot land at any of the helipads!! The skids go right through the ground ! And, whilst it would be nice to shoot some drone footage for a video, you also cannot "place" the aircraft there either!
C'mon Orbx - give us not-so-skilled heliheads a chance! How about setting up a "start" position at the Reef World pad?
Thank you
Lee

Thanks Wayne,
Glad you enjoyed it. They did an update that appeared in my Orbx Central download today - but no mention of what it fixes or does! I'll have a look.

Hello,
As stated, a review of this little gem in the Emerald Isle.
As of today (12 MAY 22), I see there is an update. Hopefully it solves the "vehicles on the runway" issue. But it is a nice little scenery.
Thanks

There is this topic
which applies to any changes made to the simulator.
Hello Nick,
Ok, exactly what happens to the Sim when you delete these files? I know that the CONTENT.XML will rebuild itself - but what is the result of that? What, if anything is lost in the Sim? Should these files be backed up for re-use?
Just trying to understand the ramifications of deleting these files.
Cheers,

Hello,
Once again, I have completed another video review - and this time I have reviewed this lovely little airport, tucked away in the Serbian countryside. It seems to have gone largely un-noticed, so I decided to have a look at it. I really like and - and the only thing missing is the GRASS strip. Maybe an update?
However, as a debut scenery by the developer, it's great!
Enjoy!

Hi
Thank you for your review, which was very good.
This airport seemed to get some bad press in other areas of these forums, but seemed very good in your video review.
I will look to purchase on the strength of this.
Hello Paul,
Thanks for your kind works, glad you found it useful. I wanted to stress that the default is not that bad - but that this offering does improve things a lot for this somewhat iconic airport and I think it's worth the investment. And with two updates recently, AmSim do seem to be listening.
I hope you enjoy it.
Take care,
Lee

And . . .
An update to this scenery has been released - update to version 1.1.2 which fixes the approach lighting to runway 23 and also the issues with the moving stairs.

Hello,
I have just posted a video review on my YouTube channel of this new Madeira LPMA scenery by AmSim, released by Orbx. In the review, I compare it with the default Asobo offering and discuss some of the issues raised by users and I add my thoughts.
I hope you enjoy it and find it useful.
Thank you,
regards

Ok,
[EDIT - on the above] -
I have discovered that because I landed with the Asobo version installed, the Flight Recorder used to reply the landing and taxi in, recognises the scenery and because there is a difference in the elevation between the Asobo version and the new payware one, running the reply uses the Asobo elevation - and thus, causes the aircraft to sink which results in a crash! Removing the Asobo version and re-recording the taxi off and to the stand does not result in the crash.

Hi,
Purchased this scenery yesterday and then flew in from Heathrow using the FlyByWire A320 NEO for BAVirtual. Actually, I forgot to remove the Asobo version and the landing and look of the scenery seemed fine - but as many have said, there were serious bumps and dips in the taxiways and I nearly got a Sim crash while taxi-ing back to the Terminal! But I managed to taxi to the stand and complete the flight.
I then reloaded the Sim and went in and removed the Asobo scenery and yes, it looks better - but, while repeating the taxi off the runway, while backtracking in to the Terminal and looking from the right side passenger view, the engine began slowly to descend into the tarmac, then disappeared - and at that point the Sim crashed!
Note that I have not visited the airport in real life but I have flown in here in the Sim a number of times (P3D and FSX) so I am familiar with it. I will be posting the video of the landing which was recorded - and I will be reviewing the scenery product on my YouTube channel (virtualairlinepilot) next week.
I see there is a small update that has been released - I will be lookng again at the scenery today.
Personally, I am happy with the scenery and the price - but the issues clearly need to be fixed. And, if such an agreement does not exist, I firmly believe that Orbx should institute a "Customer Charter" agreement to which they expect ALL their Partners to adhere to. And any found to be not helping customers should have their partnership terminated as this clearly does not help the good name of Orbx.
Just my thoughts,
Lee

John,
Please understand that these were only nit picks! The scenery is fantastic as I tried to convey in my review. As for the runway lighting, this type of approach lighting system is available in MSFS2020 to be set up and should not be a problem.
If you look at my recent video review of Ankara in Turkey (LTAC) . . .
and move to the section at timepoint 30:54, you can see the ALSF-II type strobe lighting on runway 03R (we look at 03L but you can see the stobes clearly to the right) . . .
My opinion is that testers and Devs don't need to be at the airport, per se, to get the runway navigational aids and lighting correct, as the data is already available on Navigraph Charts for example. I always refer to such charts (someone in the Dev Team must have a subscription! :-) to check the approach aids.
But as I said, this is another brilliant scenery by Orbx whom I have supported for years with scenery in P3D and now MSFS - and will continue to support! If you are able to update the runway lighting that's great - but it's not a showstopper!
Well done on another great product!
Regards,
Lee

Hi Lee,
If it suits your needs - good for you! I personally don't think it compares to the standard set by the Orbx scenery. And while it is in fact more up to date than the Orbx one, the new apron in the northwest is still missing.
Best
Stefan
Fair enough Stefan,
I think its quite nice, in the absence of anything else at the moment. Is there another LDDU product coming? I have not heard of anything yet. But of course I'll look at it certainly.
I was just pointing out that there is actually an LDDU scenery for MSFS, thats all ....
Take care,

с Новым годом! Looking forward to all three actually! Aberdeen and Inverness, esp! ( I was secretly hoping Belfast would be City Airport - looks pretty scenic )
That'll definitely make some Loganair / Twin Otter fans happy.... now if someone would just fix Barra
@BAW9DV FYI - Prague is being done by 2 developers and Domodedovo is being worked on by another Orbx partner.Hello,
Thanks for that - I saw the details about Prague on Flightsim. To, but so far nothing! No update, seems the project is dead. But we'll see ....
As for Domodedovo, again, no mention of it anywhere which is why I mentioned it in my list. But I'll be glad to see it ...
Cheers,

Hello Viacheslav,
Thanks for the road map.
I guess I'm a little disappointed since the airports in the UK you mention have mostly already been done. Yes, I have no doubt at all that you could seriously improve upon them - your skills are becoming legendary here - but I'd like to see you lending your skills to places in the new Simulator that could really benefit from your creative abilities.
My thoughts -
Prague, Czech Republic - LKPR (currently only the city available for MSFS);
Tunis-Carthage Airport, Tunisia - DTTA
Cairo International, Egypt - HECA
Rafic Hariri International, Beirut, Lebanon - OLBA
Abdul Aziz, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia - OEJN
Male International, Maldive Islands - VRMM (current payware scenery looks a little odd!)
Bandaranaike International, Columbo, Sri Lanka - VCBI
Ashgabat, Turkmenistan - UTAA
Moscow, Domodedovo - UUDD (currently not done for MSFS whilst Sheremetyevo UUEE is!)
Incheon International, Seoul, Korea - RKSI
Quito, Ecuador - SEQM
Plus, I agree with the other member above that Japan needs some attention.
As for the UK, we do have it mostly covered. The newly enhanced default Heathrow is very acceptable, plus we have Stanstead, Manchester and Birmingham done to a very good quality level and Inverness and Jersey to the south also good quality. And ofcourse we now have Edinbugh and Glasgow from your good self.
Perhaps Aberdeen is the only one I'd like to see you attempt in the UK.
As I said, just my thoughts. I'd love you to do Kharkiv in Ukraine, but I am aware of your comments on that one!
Happy New Year to you. Hoping the above gives you some ideas.
All the best,
Lee

Thanks Lee for another great review! I may be wrong but it seems like you forgot to check out the Heliport and Glasgow's flying school on the other side of the airport .
Hello Viacheslav,
No, you are correct! I was kind of concentrating on the airport itself. But I will check out the Heliport and Flying school, now that you mention it.
Time to think about Kharkiv maybe ? :-)
Merry Christmas!

Paul,
You know what? This file *IS* installed!! I can't even remember where I got it from! But of course it must have been Flightsim. To ! Sorry - my head is not performing well!
Which is the other "high terrain" file?
