    Hello,
there is a long topic here that may give you some answers:

Thank you for that reference.  I looked through that thread and tried some of the solutions but nothing worked.  It would seem my only choices are to disable Flytampa KTPA, disable Orbx True Earth Florida, or just live with the issue.  I remember seeing this issue in the past and somehow it resolved itself but that hasn't happened this time.

  2. I am running P3D v5.4 and am having an issue with KTPA by FlyTampa.  There seems to be a conflict between that airport and Orbx True Earth Florida.  At the airport there is a waterway which goes around the southern end of runway 1L.  At the southern end of the runway the water level changes from ground level to below ground level.  I have tried searching for files related to KTPA and found some under \Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Scenery\World\scenery and \Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Orbx\FTX_NA\FTX_NA_!FL_05_SCENERY\scenery.  Disabling those files does not fix the issue.  What I discovered is disabling Orbx True Earth Florida in my scenery library does.  Specifically disabling the FTX_NA_!FL_06_CVX file.  Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a solution (work around)?  I would greatly appreciate any suggestions to fix this.  Thank you.KTPA1L.thumb.jpg.7f1811ade86e8821f10411ccf3aa4624.jpg

  3. I received an answer on the LVFR forum (kind of).  There are two versions of the installers for KFLL and also for KMIA.  One with full PBR, the other with Non-PBR and non-sloped runways.  The runway at KFLL is sloped and when the latter installer is used the installation textures do not extent far enough to cover the underlying overrun at the approach end of 28L and that is the end with the higher elevation.  If I install the standard PBR version the runways are sloped and the issue goes away.  The only other issue with those two airports is they conflict with each other.  If both airports are enabled on my system (weather both non PBR or standard installations) then my system locks up.  Even if I turn off all of the checkable features for both airports.  My only solution is to enable one or the other in the scenery library depending on which I want to fly into or out of.

  4. Thank you for your responses.  I have already tried disabling the three files for KFLL in the Orbx\FTX_NA\FTX_NA_!FL_05_SCENERY\scenery folder and that did not correct the issue.  Was surprised that it didn't however.  Regarding my scenery layers the LVFR KFLL is above all of my Orbx scenery and TE Florida is set by Orbx central and is above OpenLC NA.

  5. I recently purchased the LVFR KFLL scenery for P3D.  I'm running P3D v.54 and have the following issue with the new scenery.  There is a hill at the approach end of 28L at KFLL when using the LVFR scenery.  If I disable the scenery there is no hill on the underlying Florida True Earth KFLL.  If I disable the Orbx TE KFLL airport the hill remains.  If I disable True Earth Florida the hill goes away.  Has anyone experienced this and found a solution?  Thank you for your assistance.

  6. I thought I would follow up on this issue I reported as I have not seen any updates to cityscape portland.  Also, there have been reports of transparency issues with bridges with regard to P3D V5.3.  Some of those, like the issue with bridges around Kansas City and Memphis were fixed by an individual who posted fixes to those bgl files.  I was wondering if I could fix the issue with the bridges in cityscape portland myself but would need to know what software I would need to fix the transparency issue with the bridges and somewhere I could learn just how to perform those fixes.  Thank you for your assistance.

I cannot answer your latest question. I don't have XEnviro. Sunken roads, peaks. troughs etc are normally caused by a clash of meshes.

The only meshes I have in the arrea of this airport is this airport.  But I will keep checking.  Thank you for the input.

  8. I could not find a way of disabling the mesh so I just moved the mesh folder onto my desktop.  With that done the sunken roadway disappears and is replaced by regular ground textures.  So does that mean the issue is with the mesh? Or at least how xEnviro interacts with the elements of that mesh folder?

  9. I am having an issue with the sunken road textures in the Axonos KMEM scenery.  What is interesting about this issue is that it only shows up if I turn on the xEnviro weather engine.  As you can see in the screen shots (the first with xEnviro turned off) the sunken road area textures turn blue.  I have created a support ticket with xEnviro but their reply is this is the first they have heard of this and it is most likely caused by the textures used in the Axonos KMEM scenery.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the scenery, verified game files in X Plane 11 as well as uninstalled and reinstalled the xEnviro weather engine.  I did not have this issue before with this scenery and was wondering if something changed in X Plane 11 that could be causing this scenery?  I ask that because there have been some minor updates in the steam version of X Plane 11.

  10. I appear to be having an issues with bridges in the Portland area.  I have checked the bridges around KWER and KSFO and those appear to be OK.  I have uninstalled BASE, verified files on Vector, OpenLC North America and PNW.  This issue is only happening in P3D V5.3.  I have P3D V4.5 and the bridges are OK there.  I have also verified files on Cityscape Portland. But the issue remains.  Uninstalling Cityscape Portland removed that scenery and the remaining scenery bridges look normal.  Reinstalling Cityscape Portland brings back the issue.  I guess my question is, is anyone else having this issue with Cityscape Portland and is there a fix for this issue?  Also, I am running the latest Nvidia drivers.

  11. Thank you for the reply.  I took a look a the posted fixes and tried installing the Arizona excludes. Initially it didn't work but then I looked further into the postings and realized these fixes are for the FTX Global airports.  So I put the excludes for arizona in D:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Orbx\FTX_GLOBAL\FTX_FTXG_AIRPORTS\Scenery and that fixed the issues.  Thank you very much for pointing out that forum listing.  I have bookmarked it for future reference.

  12. Today I decided to try a flight out of KDVT in Arizona.  When taxiing around I noticed duplicate taxiway signs as well as static aircraft sticking out of many of the hangars.  I found the following files under \Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\Orbx\FTX_GLOBAL\FTX_FTXG_AIRPORTS\Scenery

    ADE_FTX_FTXG_KDVT.bgl
    ADE_FTX_FTXG_KDVT_CVX.bgl
    FTX_FTXG_KDVT_objects.bgl

and changed the extension to off.  While that took care of the duplicate taxiway signs, it also removed the static aircraft and vehicles.  So I am wondering if there is a different way to solve this issue.

  13. Thank you for your response.  It's just very disappointing that Orbx has done it this way.  I liked the way it worked before when I could manually download the files and then when reinstalling could point central to the file location.  The older system was better, at least for me.  So now in order to get a backup I have to uninstall all of my Orbx scenery and turn on the automatic backup and then reinstall.  There should be the ability when turning on the backup to check if the files are already installed and then download the files and save them to the backup area.  But it's the way it is.

  14. This month I had issues with one of my flight simulators and uninstalled and then reinstalled my scenery files multiple times.  Needless to say by the end of this month I am near my download limit from my internet provider.  Recently, I forget how long ago Orbx changed the way Central downloads and eliminated the ability to download the files from orbxdirect and save them to my hard drive so if I needed to reinstall them I could point central to that file location and install it.  but I can't do that any more.  So how do I backup my files manually to say an external hard drive and then point an installation to that backup to install?  I see an option to automatically backup my Orbx files but there is no manual backup that I can find.

  15. I tried uninstalling 5.2, cleaned out files, installed 5.1, same issue.  Uninstalled 5.1, deleted files in program data, and appdata for v5, installed 5.2.  Same issue.  So something changed somewhere with my system and I have no idea what since I don't fly P3D all the time.  I just tried a flight from KORS to KFHR and the simulator is unusable.  All I know is a few weeks ago when I purchased True Earth Florida and installed it I did not have any issues.  It was smooth.  So I have Simstarter NG P3D set up with profiles but am just going to run P3D with Orbx base and vector and leave everything else unchecked in my scenery library.  I give up!  This will have to wait for a wipe and reload of windows I guess.  No issue with any other games.  Just P3D for some reason.  Anyway, thanks for all the suggestions.  Just with something worked.

  16. Unfortunately the DSR thing wasn't  working 100 percent.  So back to Sinstarter NG P3D and profiles.  So far I have had to stop using the regional sceneries like Southern and Northern California and any airports that require the regional sceneries.  But I have been able to use profiles for the OpenLC regions.  What is strange is I don't remember having this issue until I upgraded to P3D v5.2.  I have been flying in southern California and the Pacific Northwest and didn't notice the issue or if I did it wasn't as bad.  I may remove 5.2 and go back to 5.1.

  17. So that would mean that I would need to purchase another monitor?  What I'm doing right now it setting up profiles in simstarter ng to limit the scenery in my scenery library for any one flight.  I will see how that goes.  If that doesn't work out it does work out by having only base and vector installed along with all my non-Orbx payware.  I do thank you for your suggestions but they all involve spending a lot of money so for now I'll stick with what I have.  As I mentioned before if it doesn't work out I will just scrap P3D for now, uninstall the simulator and all scenery and aircraft and wait until I upgrade my system and then try P3D again.

Edit.  That does give me an idea of setting up DSR for 2x in my nvidia control panel and switching to that when flying p3d and setting p3d to 2x as well.  We will see how that goes.
