What is " a strange thing to say"?

Sorry but those river bridges in pic no. 1 look dreadful. Will that be fixed in the release version?

Sorry Tony I get a bit OCD and possessive about MY island!
You've convinced me! I still use XPL a lot and will continue to do so. BING Lanzarote is awful.

This is 60cm
That's a disappointment, was hoping for better resolution than that.
So then, how green is Lanzarote? I'm sensitive to this as I practically lived there pre-lockdown.
-
I'm worried about Lanzarote - in MSFS it's far too green and it doesn't look like that at all (BING that is). The Spain UHD has it about right at Level 18 and 19.
What is Orbx's spec for scenery - 30cm per pixel or other?

Ah you can't beat a bit of old-fashioned whimsy.

Fizelle and I are 12 years apart - think back to good old school days. If I was a sixth former in secondary school, he'd be in his first year of primary. In those days we were light years apart but those 'lights' are dimming .
Scary thought! As for your last sentence:
"Do not go gently into that good night, do not give in without a fight..."

It's weird being the same age as old people.
You get my vote for the most whimsical statement in the whole of Christendom.

Hi Chuns - I'll let Jon deal with your scenery.ini file but I've just noticed you're not using the option for the Metal renderer. Might grab a few more FPS back for you.

Good to know it all works well.
Thank you for being so kind in your expression of gratitude.
Happy flying
It's well-deserved Jon, you've done a helluva job-a-work in these forums.

The transition through 82 is easy, it's 83 that has me concerned
I'm shortly to hit 70 and that's totally baking my noodle!

Can Orbx confirm that Canary Wharf et al will now have proper building lights as we have been asking for months and months?

I am 85 and sure am hoping its not my last decade and looking forward to the 90s
although I'm not sure I'll make MS2030
That is - unless they come out with a brail version
How on earth did you know that there is a braille version? I have been beta-testing it for the last 2 months. It's really good. However the main problem is the full stop, or period, button. If one were to hit it during flight, the aircraft just halts immediately and falls out of the sky with no way of a restart.
At the moment it's not a viable alternative to the established aims but, as I say, it is in beta.

Good to see that we oldies can still have a bit of a laugh, even in a pandemic.. eight days in intensive care, and I am back now, but have developed double pneumonia. on top of that we have the country shut down so my poor wife and I are stuck in the house.. Oh well, it could be worse, my system could fail, and I would not be able to read the forums..thanks for small mercies, Teecee.
My thoughts to your thoughts Teecee. Please keep us updated. My very best wishes from a fellow "stook in t'owse" as they say in Yorkshire.

Stay safe Mate. My immune system is shot following my severe sepsis back in October, so I'm isolating right now.
I agree, it's all a bit of a rum do!

Well they can't be from Mars. I mean, the chances of anything coming from Mars are a million to one they say!

One of the disadvantages of being an Old Coot is that we learn firsthand an awful lot about medicine. Wishing you all the best, Doug and Fizz.
On the other hand I've learned an awful lot more about my "unmentionables"!
Cheers Rodger

I, too, hope all goes well Fizzelle. I'm also a victim of bladder cancer and I know what you're going through. The cystos aren't much fun but it's really important to keep doing them. I wish you well.........Doug
Hi Doug
I prefer not to think of myself as a "victim" or I'm fighting a "battle". I prefer to think of it as a minor inconvenience and part of the circle of life!
Thank you for your thoughts; much appreciated.

I'm with you dexthorm. I've got to go to the hospital later this morning. They've called me in. Don't know why. I've got to take all my pills with me which makes me suspicious. D'you think they're going to 'put me down'?
They ask you to provide your pills because, if they keep you in, they won't have to pay extra to supply your drugs. So it's better you have your own with you for cost and continuity purposes.
I go in next Tuesday for another cystoscopy to check up on my bladder cancer. O joy, O joy, O joy!
