  1. I so second this! My wife and I got to drive the Great Ocean Road a few years ago. Absolutely spectacular, I'd love to revisit in msfs.
  2. Community is really important, and is a great one for sure!
  3. Fantastic! Thanks Iain, looking forward to seeing more!
  4. Really? I thought the scenery reflections were new to P3D, I didn't know you could do that in FSX.
  5. I've seen a lot of talk about the cloud shadows in P3Dv2, and it's true, they are very immersive. But the thing that really knocked my socks off is the water reflections. If you like flying low and slow, the water reflections really turn up the immersion level. Here's some screenies from the Seward area in SAK to show you what I mean.
  6. Great shots! I have to agree with you about CZST, it's my current favorite too. I went there in real life once, we crossed the Alaskan border to Hyder - no border guards, just a sign. The salmon were running up the river that runs past Hyder. There were five or six black bears grabbing the salmon out of the river. Amazing.
  7. Me too, five airports and Southern Alaska. Now I just need to find the time to explore it all!
  8. That one is my favorite too.
  9. Thanks for your comments guys. There were several points during the flight where I couldn't see anything at all. Good thing it's just a simulation!
  10. Flying my new Cesna 172 from Rosario on Orcas Island to Anacortes.
  11. Ok, I figured it out. I was trying to run the OrbxControlPanel.exe, not FTXCentral.exe . FTX Central was in a subfolder and is running fine.
  12. Hi Wolter, thanks for the suggestion, I tried running it directly but it did the same thing.
  13. Hi, I haven't used fs for a while, when I tried to run the Orbx control panel, I got an error box with the message "No config file specified" . I reinstalled the orbx libs, but that didn't help. Any ideas? Thanks!
  14. I'm very glad to hear this, congrats Orbx! PNW has really made the sim fresh again, and I'm loving it.
  15. Success! Downloaded, installed and first flight. My first impressions...actually, I'm speechless, I can think of anything to say that can match what I'm seeing. OMG!
  16. At christmas my kids like to track Santa's progress around the world with noradsanta.org. Right now, I'm getting that "track santa" feeling watching the upload progress. I feel like a kid on christmas eve!
  17. These look great! I happen to live a stone's throw from Qualicum Beach airport. I'm the author of the freeware Qualicum Beach and Nanaimo airports. You can bet I'll be making sure that my scenery plays nicely with the FTX scenery as soon as I can get my hands on it!
