Wait L52 is part of SCA.  Why didn't someone tell me that is already in there?. ...had a question in the freeware forums for a while about this.

Now that LM 4.3 update is near, I figured I follow up on my original question from last year.  

 

Are there any plans by Orbx to start installing Orbx files outside the P3Dv4 root directory.  I usually have to reinstall everything b/c at times I do need other components of LM's upgrade.  On my end, large amounts of time is wasted on reinstall everything.  Yet, there are few products which are always outside the root directory and are loaded up instantly.  The time saving is immense.

 

Since Orbx is one the major leaders in the flightsim arena, if Orbx follows suits, almost all other players will follow too.

Is there any plan for Orbx products down the road for the regions/airports to follow LM's new install structure.  

 

This would save so much time during installation.  I understand that Global needs to be installed in the sim but other Orbx sceneries don't really have to be.  I know it is lot of work but imagine the possibilities - It will help find errors super easily (is it the scenery or the sim).  And everything will be cleanly installed.

 

I can bet if Orbx follows and then all other players in the sim industry will follow too.

Is there anyway down the road to have all my orbx scenries outside the P3Dv4 directory (using the new addon install structure).  That way when I do a reinstall, I just have to install the sim only and rest of the addon directories get picked up by P3Dv4.  It saves me enormous amount of time.

 

Any thoughts?
