Minor issue - I guess the vast majority of users will have all the sceneries anyway
Just nice to understand what is happening.
That's odd as had it with just the Fire Lookouts enabled.

I dont know about this wind direction default and how it works. But all starts were downhill hill for me.
I checked the smoke on Shellrock peak and it was fine.....Ghost in the machine?
Thx John -
All good, Matt!
I've fixed the default rwy start issue. Everything should be fine in the build Sante will post in the morning. I moved some start back a bit too.

Hey John,
All these are sorted. Will be doing a build this morning.

Hey Matt, All good I fixed em all and then some. All the defaults are now running down hill.
I'll be making a new build this morning. -
Update --- Defaults are all fixed
To clarify --In SDK all numbers need to specify the heading of the primary. This also go off how you initially put the runway down.
Different planes sit on the parking and start marks at different places. It's hard to juggle all devs positioning. Need place these in a sweet spot that caters for all.
Everything should be fixed there now.
Thanks Guy for pushing. You guys do a great job keeping me on my toes.

I've checked all runway and some of my other products, plus Some creative mesh products. they all have varing runway starts when clicking the main Icon on the map. Vines, simmonds and also U60 and Thomas Creek from Creative Mesh. Clearly these as well aren't the idealy departure direction.
I don't know why this happens when the primary runway is stated, so they default should be the same. I'm of the mind that people shouldn't ever just click an airport, they should choose their start themselves...an excuse? maybe. -
-
Thanks Matt.
I dont know why that default is starting there. I've never used that way of picking a start before. But 19 start is in the right position and primary is 19
My start shows here. Heli pad just behind it, so kept a touch forward. Kitfox sit way forward too.
Changed to 29 from 27
Kitfox again so far forward with the //42 fox. IDMFL
I dont know why the map airport star picks a certain runway. pics clearly state the primary. I don't think I've checked this on any other products. I always choose my runway starts myself. It's odd. -
That be the ones!
Hopefully these can be aligned in the new Global trees addon to be inline with asobos vegetation.
As a dev, it's a real pita to see pics people post with huge trees in the middle of the runway, when they are actually just small bushes. I hope this gets passed on.
Other than that. I just say "The scenery was created with no addons installed". Luckily some of these addons align nicely. -
These tree replacement addons really need to use a similar type of vegetation eg small bush need to be that small bushes not huge tree. This was the same with Bijan. Something to be address with the Global trees testing too.

He might just pass now @Matt McGee

Hey John, It's the change between sdk and sim with terrain positions and objects. Ill just need to do some adjustments here. As for snow, I pushed it onto the flat more. Must be bleow 4 deg c to show up. No biggy
Parking start was intentional. Gets around the hill start at 34 and people can use it down the hill.
Ill check all parkings again. All seemed good to me.
Missing Runway graphics is a weird one. Those runways when small look awful on the map tbh. I don't miss it Runway length is quite long, just not showing.
IDSML parking for the airstrip are on the tower bgl. Ill at least make sure it's named correctly. I think it is. Drop down doesn't show those names though.

Also might be that I run 4k and max everything. So, LOD is max and also the Terrain LOD.
4x4 is fun. I might add some signs from the Hill Climb area to head south and them over to Praire Airstrip. It's a really long way and the DEM is better than most of idaho, so you can travel it with default roading.
Cheers, Milo- 1

Thanks, Rob.
IDPPL - Rob you have heaps of room! down hill, slight bank to the right. Fly out past the side of the mountain...no worries! I really wanted a aircraft landing area here. This was the best I could come up with. Did you get away ok, though? -
Thanks Matt.
Just when you think you sport everything.
Tree seem to be a setting thing and this did pop up back in 'Not soo Deadly3'. Never heard of any support tickets about it. I cna see how it's annoying though.
We dont have a release day yet anyway, so I might change that guys closes.
There is a slight shift from sdk to sim with object relation to the ground, especially to those that are on highly modified terrain. It's really frustration, so you need to offset it on the Z axis. Or, make sure the ground is exactly flat. Small adjustments needed there. -

Hoo Mama, I have died and gone to heaven! My Kitfox is made for this. Can't wait! Thanks, Milo.
With a rough and windy day and all those downdrafts off those ridges, you just might go to heaven!
I've had some doosies on approach into some of those STOL landing zones/strips.

Milo,
I just finished testing Detroit and was about to start on your Idaho Fire Lookouts Beta 1.
I was reviewing previous reports before I started and saw you are about to start on the next build.
Since Rob, Darryl, and John B have already done such thorough reports, should I just wait and test your next build?
I know you guys are really, busy. You could just wait for the next build at this stage, Matt. About to start on these fixes now. Shouldn't take too long.
Cheers,

Thank you, Rob!
Looking back, yeah i'll leave windsocks as is. With smoke, flags and windsocks, every tower is covered for wind. I agree now with the immersion.
Small Fire - Ill add a person and perhaps a 4x4.
hill climb parking - Ill add a landmark marker so people know what it is.
removing the runway outline at the one specific location will be gone.
Runway directions.
Various rock fixes
Helipad with be that helipads
I think i've got enough now to start on the fixes today.

yep, this is always coming up, it would be nice if there could be a' not yet release' flag on the item somewhere.
the coming soon page usually reflects this. I know we all come concern about products that are coming up and if all goes smoothly they are release relatively quick. As stated before, we want to get these out as quick as you guys want them
Milo -
Hey @xxd09 It is currently in testing. There are a lot of location to go thru. We'll get it out to you asap. 600 pounds is just a place holder. We dare not have a placeholder of 2 pounds

Thanks Darryl,
Some have windsocks and some dont just like irl. Is maybe debatable that they all should for the sim?
Runway numbers were an oversight.
I'll throw all together after all reports come in.
I think ill convert all actually helipad to helipads. There use to be a thing where all Helipads aircraft were running on load. has that changed.
Thanks again,

some cool looking things there, I'll need to fly the chopper, that'll mean more practice for sure...
Have no fear @wain71 there are areas to land a small aircraft at each of the 11 locations. They are tight, but the challenge is satisfying.

That's just the way the sign is. Looks a little odd to me too. But I can't argue with the Real life pic
