Yes I was wondering this too. Thursdays have been too quiet lately!

So Orbx, is this the way the Edgley was designed to work, or is this an SU5 issue (or similar)? If it's a deliberate design feature that Ctrl-E doesn't work (whether enforced by MSFS limitations or otherwise) then why isn't this mentioned in the documentation? Unless I'm mistaken (and I apologise in advance if I'm wrong on this) it's not mentioned at all in the operators' handbook. Since Ctrl-E had been a standard keystroke combination of MS flight sims (and P3D) for many years now, wouldn't it have been a good idea to mention this? You know, to stop your customers wasting their precious sim-time, and getting frustrated/annoyed in the process?
Can I ask please that this bug (if indeed it is a bug) gets added to the official bug list? It's annoying to be forced to choose between the extremes of starting cold and dark, or on the runway. Like Carlos, I'm not interested in going through start-up procedures, but like the opportunity to taxi to the runway. After all what's the point in buying your lovely airfields and then just starting at the runway?!
Anybody?! It's been well over a week now, Orbx!

Developers dont mind negative feedback if anything they like it it helps them with future products. Constructive critism is always welcomed by all developers not just in flight sim but other genres as well. If no one says anything then how are they to know somethings wrong
I'm sure you're right that many don't bother to provide specific feedback, but Orbx don't play their part either. In another thread regarding the Edgely Optica I (politely) asked a couple of questions about the Ctrl-E problem but no one at Orbx has bothered to respond to my latest questions. Nor have they added it to the bug list. This is far from the first time I've had valid questions ignored either. Andy1252 commented on "a very defensive attitude in the forums", but sometimes it seems there's an 'ignore them and they will go away' attitude to.

Hi Benny, Good to see you post! Thanks for the video - a great insight in to the background work that goes on to keep those complex machines flying.

previously I would ONLY buy Orbx scenery, period, no exception. And now, for me, Orbx scenery is starting to feel like just another scenery package in the big mixing pot of sim scenery that is being churned out
Exactly the same for me. For years I'd only bought Orbx - but not now, I'm afraid

It's an effective comparison and far easier to see than in a video
Can't say the difference made me go 'Wow!' Might be worth it for an improved PAJN though?

Honestly, I'm still looking to be convinced that this Mesh product is going to substantially improve upon the default experience
In his latest MSFS Youtube video, Obsidian Ant comments that he can hardly see the difference between the default and new mesh, and that was after more than 10 hours of doing comparisons! Says he's yet to hear back a comment from Orbx.

some of the default planes don't work with CTRL+E from cold and dark
Didn't realize that ravenn22. I'll bear that in mind when I start trying some of the other defaults (have only flown three or four in the past year!)

Possible Wolfko, possible - but it ain't goin' to happen!

Thanks John for taking the time to test this for me and report back. Much appreciated!
I've had time to test this myself now and can confirm that it's Ctrl-E that's the problem. Going through the checklist from cold and dark did indeed work, as did starting from the runway.

Yes Nick, still set to modern.
Didn't run through the checklist. Used Ctrl-E. Doesn't Ctrl-E work with the Edgley?

Purchased the Edgely this afternoon and it's absolutely unflyable.
After engine start the it sounds as if the engine pulses (continuously) and increasing the throttle it continues to do the same. Taxing to the runway the engine eventually just cuts out and can't be restarted. Nothing about these problems in the bug list.
Any ideas anyone?

Hi Joe, Sorry to hear your woes, but was wondering if any of the above solved your problem?
-
Sorry, I don't understand. How does changing the way your drives are partitioned 'balance out' your CPU and GPU?

pretty sure that flight simming is not an option.
I'm pretty sure flightsimming is compulsory down there. It makes you suffer by constant CTDs, forcing you to install updates when you don't want want, and stealing all your money. Hey, wait . . .

To quote your web site: Campo Comandantes (SIJY), a private aerodrome, inserted in the TMA Floripa TMA-FL3, adjacent to the CTR-FN of Navegantes, is located in the municipality of Itajaí - SC, and is one of the large sets of aeronautical condominiums in the southern region". Yeah right, that helps!
While I appreciate another freebie - thank you btw - would it be too much trouble to mention exactly which countries your products are in (this isn't the first instance, where this info is missing)? We don't all walk around with extensive knowledge of airport codes in our head, or indeed an intimate knowledge of the minutiae of global geography, and it would save us have to look it up (Note to Orbx marketing people: we have to move away from your site to do this, and you don't want that do you?! We might get distracted and not make it back!) .
Just sayin'.
Cheers!

I really miss Bowerman. It was just so neat in FSX and for me became a classic. When asked by friends about Orbx my answer was always the same. Spectacular scenery that is a must have, but check out Bowerman and you will see why I enjoy what they do so much
I appreciate that your plate is full for this year, but would it be possible at some point in the future to make stopping off at the "Luna Cafe" a reality again for MSFS.
It would be a classic reborn
+1 Bowerman is my fave Orbx airfield of all time!

EGGP Liverpool and MSFS
in Microsoft Flight Simulator Support Forum

Have just been checking out my EGGP installation and noticed that I have two yellow subs and duplicates of bus shelters etc. I guess this is due to the UK update of MSFS that included a version of EGGP. How do I uninstall this? I tried searching in the Content Manager but it only throws up the DD version and the entire UK update. Do I have to uninstall the entire UK update to get EGGP working properly? Any help would be appreciated!
