ninja123
How can I confirm that SP1&2 have been installed ? I am sure I installed SP1 some time ago but just want to confirm . Everthing worked perfectly , so I didn't install SP2 , I don't think . One more question . Is SP2 essential ? graeme
Maurice_King
Start - Control Panel - Add Remove Programs - Look down the list and see if the Service Packs are shown as installed.
ninja123
Thank you Maurice . There is one line that specifically notes Microsoft NET Framework Service pack 1 . But no SP2 . So I will now read the installation notes . It is with great apprehension that I fiddle with these things for fear that I will stuff it up and have to do a complete re-install . Matthew Webb
Be sure that "Show installed updates" is ticked in the add/remove control panel. To be sure you have the latest Service Pack and other related security updates, go to Windows Update and perform a scan... http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ Cheers, Matt. Maurice_King
Ah I said check for the updates and you should be looking for a line that says something like Microsoft Simulator X Service Pack 1 NET Framework is completely different and you should have NET 1, 1.1, its updates 1.2 and its 2 updates and several other packages and finally the Net framework 3.
Guest volcom1720
SP2 is not essential but it is recommended to install for something with autogen. I have SP2 because I reckon it does something special. To check you have sp2 go to add or remove programs and find your microsoft flight simulator X. If it's installed. FSX will say: Microsoft Flight Simulator X Service Pack 2 Hope this helped a bit
