Strange mound on PAYA apron...?

Hi Tim,

That's a big old pile of nasty late winter snow. They do snow removal at Yakutat by sticking it all in the center of the apron, the pile can reach over 50ft high at times. And they do use a backhoe to remove it in April and May.

Cheers,

Alex

In the following thread some pics are posted, where you can see a real snow pile on the apron in winter.

If you change the season to summer no pile will be shown in the scenery.

May be one or two more caterpillars next to the pile (in winter) in the scenry would be fine and more believable.

Thank you Wulf.  I was not sure if Alex was being sarcastic?
