ACTIVE FTX Lights Day Icon missing

Hi,

 

For some reason, my FTX Lights Day icon is missing on my desktop.The Night icon is there and is working, but i can´t revert it to day mode anymore.

Me too, have checked the quarantined section of my McAfee antivirus and its not their either

check the FSX\ORBX\scripts folder.  Mine has the .exe files for Night and Day plus FTXLights, and FTX GLOBAL Lights Configurator.

Just make a shortcut on your desktop.

I don't know why you suddenly have no Icon for FTXDay lights switching, but looking at your AV quarantine is a great place to start, there were a few instances where "Norton AV removed these FTX Day / Night .executables and placed them in quarantine, relatively easy to restore if that's what has happened. Sometimes you need to make new Desktop shortcuts if these are not restored along with the .exe's. 

 

If you really need to have the "FTX Day & FTX Night" Icons on your desktop then you can navigate to your FSX installation, goto ORBX\Scripts folder find & right click "FTXLights_Day.exe" from pop menu select "Send to desktop create shortcut" do the same for night if you are missing the Night icon.

 

I note from your signatures that both of you have full regions and luiz has global base + Vector aswell. Therefore if you are up-to-date with your Service Packs you will be able to enjoy the benefits of the New style 3D lighting system, Vector Road lights. These are now the preferred type of lighting as they have little or Low impact on system resources, as the old style lights have/had. The new lights do not have light poles displayed day and night nor light orbs on those poles at night. The old style Day/Night icons are not used for road lighting anymore, also many airports have already been updated to the new style lights.

Hop over to https://www.fullterrain.com/support to see what you are missing, download the latest libraries which contain FTXCv2. 

 

You should look at updating FTXCentral to Version2 "First" with the latest OrbxLibraries (FTXCV2 & v150331 libs) for your chosen sim.

FTXCentral v2 will then tell you exactly which updates you require for your installed Orbx software. The installers will tell you which updates require you to reinstall the latest libs with each updated Service Pack.
