f4f4wildcat Posted January 13, 2015 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Good afternoon gentleman, Suddenly I've got this dark ground texture appearing at Lake Tahoe Airport, in front of the terminal: I don't know if it's related or not, but yesterday I purchased and installed FTX Global. In FTX Central the North America option is ON (I understand it's well inside FTX NCA). Anyway, I've tried reinstalling the scenery again and the FTXORBXLIBS_141228.exe but the faulty texture is still there . Everything else seems to be Ok. I use DX10+fixer (no problems in the past). Any help would be appreciated. Greetings from Catalonia. Misha Cajic Posted January 13, 2015 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Hi Jordi, So the black texture only appeared after you installed FTX Global? I assume that you might not know the entire reinstallation procedure for FTX airports, so that may be the easiest thing to try first before we go into what else might be causing this. Follow these steps to reinstall: FIRST set FTXCentral to [FTX Global]- Browse to FSX\ORBX\FTX_NA- Delete the FTX_AA_KTVL folder- Browse to FSX\ORBX\Scripts- Delete orbx_cpl_ktvl and scenerylib_NA_ktvl (the files will be named to that effect)- Run FTXconfigrator.exe (silent operation, it removes the scenery library entries) Then, set FTX Central back to North America, and reinstall KTVL. I've followed your instructions but the annoying black texture was still there. Then I've remembered that a few days ago I activated an option called 8Bit Texture Fix in the DX10 Fixer trying to solve another problem with a freeware scenery (btw,it didn't work at all). But I completely forgot to unchecked it afterwards. I've unchecked the option now and the ground texture looks fine again! I shouldn't have been toying with parameters I don't understand !!!!! Anyway, thanks for the quick help and for creating this little gem for FSX ! ilkeryen Posted January 22, 2015 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Hello I use FSX Acceleration pack. I purchased and loaded Order #FSS0346237 FTX Global Base. Then all the land of fsx became dark black. Only taxiways and trees are looking normally but base(land) is like blank dark area. This problem is on every region, every altitude and every season... It is as if lands are deleted my FSX. In addition this I can not open PDF file of user guide under the FTX Central menu. I red forum then reload the program but not any result... Please could you help me?
