specialist
From previous post, I've tried to follow the same principal in correcting the problem with airport elevations. Using FTX Vector Configuration, reinstalling a region, and even turning back on the scenery/world/scenery .BGL file that pertains to KPDX, but still the airport elevation problem continues, and yes, my mesh is set to 5m. I don't have any freeware addon for this airport, so I'm not sure what else can be the cause.
Wolter van der Spoel
by chance any AI proggy running there ?make sure FTX Central is set to NA hit Apply and fire up fsX, let it rebuild the scenery Dbase and exitGo to => ...\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Scenery\and look for the ADE_FTX_PNW_KPDX_elevation_adjustment file, when the SIM is set to NA the file should have a .bgl extension, if that's not the case then right=click and rename to .BGL, make darned sure that there is only ONE file with the name and the .BGL extension other files with the same name and as example a .OFF extension should be deletedfire up fsX again and check if the situation at KPDX has improved
specialist
Hi Wolter, I followed your instructions above, and the ADE_FTX_PNW_KPDX_elevation_adjustment file did not have the .bgl extension. I changed it to .BGL and there were no other duplicate .BGL extension with that same file name active. I fired up FSX again, but although the sinking terrain was not present, everything was out of place. I got out of FSX and ran the FTX Central again, but this time I set it back to FTX Global enabling features as "Use Orbx Trees" and "Vector Road Lights". I fired up FSX again and went back to the Portland Airport, this time everything at that airport seems to be working fine now. Not sure why and how, but at least it doesn't look funky anymore. Hopefully as I continue to explore other airports, this issue wont repeat itself. Thanks for your assistance,
