ACTIVE Why so little snow in FTX Norway?

Hello!

 

I've been flying quite a lot in FTX Norway (my home country).. which got a lot more fun thanks to this addon. Anyway, here's the question:

 

When flying with today's date (23/12/14), there's so little snow on the ground... it's only when you get pretty far up in Nordland that the snow begins. I've checked ENGM, ENZV and ENVA.. no snow. But in ENTC there was snow on the ground.. I've taken a few top down screenshots. The strange thing is that outside the rendered areas, there seems to be snow on the ground. What's going on? Is there an FTX Norway control panel?

Also in the last screenshot, there's a few squares with winter on the ground, and a few without.. it seems to be in that transition area or something..

For most of the coastal region there won't be snow in December, outside the arctic circle. It's been noted by some locals that coastal cities do receive persistent snowcover even if it is more inconsistent than inland areas so the first service pack for Norway will include an updated seasons lookup file.

We had rain today, here between ENCN and ENLI. For me, a pleasure. I don't have a garage. And when it snows, they only do half as good a job ploughing snow compared to what they did in the 60's.

Yeah it's a bit unstable. A week ago there was no snow on the ground where I live (10 minutes from ENGM), but now it's a thick layer of snow and ice everywhere. 

 

Edit: I've read your link now. It explains a lot! I'm happy to know there's nothing wrong, it's just the seasons file. Thanks for the answer.
