specialist
I have the same problem in San Diego CA, and other locations where there are hills and mountains.
ScottecLEMD
Hey Johnny That seems to be the underlying problem. when these objects are on hilly terrain. Regards Ken
Alex Goff
There are a few scenarios where floating autogen can occur, one is where the objects are placed on a slope. Autogen cannot tilt or embed itself in terrain and so it'll always place with a corner touching the highest elevation beneath it. Unfortunately that can lead to the rest of the structure popping out of the ground. The other situation in which floating can occur is upon loading the autogen reads the elevation of the mesh beneath it, if the mesh has not loaded to it's full resolution the structures can float. Luckily this one can be solved by refreshing the scenery library (go to World | Scenery Library| hit "OK")
ScottecLEMD
Thanks Alex I will give this a go. Best regards Ken
specialist
Where is this scenery library at that you mention we can hit "OK"? Within FSX, FTX Central, or where?
ScottecLEMD
I´m guessing it is the Scenery Library with FSX. If you go to Settings at startup then Scenery Library. Not tried this fix yet as still exploring the home country VFR ) Ken
Alex Goff
While flying, open the menu and go to World | Scenery Library then hit OK and that will reload all scenery which refreshes autogen.
