Ben3083
Hi Guys, I've started having an issue with random crash to desktop and wondered if anyone could help. It all started after i added a few add-ons all at once and now i keep getting an FSX unknown app crash in the event viewer. The add-ons i already had running with no problems was: Active Sky next Aivlasoft EFB (Display unit on a Separate system) PMDG 737 FS2 Crew Aerosoft Airbus X Extended Dublin Mega Airport Ground Services X The add-ons i added all in the same day just before the CTD started: FSUICP (Registered Version) Wide FS UK2000 Leeds Bradford Extreme FTX England smartCARS (Separate system) I know most people are going to say start uninstalling the add-ons which i will but what i did wonder could it be a Duplicate BGL file problem between FTX and UK Extreme? I'm not a whizz kid but its just things I've read in the forums. I've added a couple of screenshots with the duplicate files below. There were numerous more duplicates but i did a dirty shut down of GSX in the scenery library. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My PC spec is as follows: Windows 8.1 64-bit, i7-4770 CPU @ 3.90GHz (8 CPUs), 16gb Ram, 2TB Hard Drive, AMD Radeon R9 270 (2GB)
aeronauta
In here, Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules look for FSUIPC.log , I think you are getting FSUIPC CTD's due to Out of Memory errors due to the large ammount of apps you are running... Ben3083
Thanks for the reply Jorge. I disabled every add-on i could in the scenery library but to no avail as i'm still getting the CTD's and also FSUIPC hasn't been giving me any warning chimes. After the last CTD i checked the log and had just under 2000 left. It looks like i'm going to have to do a clean install of fsx and see what happens. This is the same log i keep getting: Log Name: Application Source: Application Error Date: 06/09/2014 13:14:19 Event ID: 1000 Task Category: (100) Level: Error Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: BensPC Description: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61472.0, time stamp: 0x475e17d3 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x77961a91 Faulting process ID: 0x18b4 Faulting application start time: 0x01cfc9cb4563cc18 Faulting application path: C:\fsx\fsx.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report ID: 53cf56c3-35bf-11e4-8262-9cb654eb7d32 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Event Xml: <Event xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> <System> <Provider Name="Application Error" /> <EventID Qualifiers="0">1000</EventID> <Level>2</Level> <Task>100</Task> <Keywords>0x80000000000000</Keywords> <TimeCreated SystemTime="2014-09-06T12:14:19.000000000Z" /> <EventRecordID>6169</EventRecordID> <Channel>Application</Channel> <Computer>BensPC</Computer> <Security /> </System> <EventData> <Data>fsx.exe</Data> <Data>10.0.61472.0</Data> <Data>475e17d3</Data> <Data>unknown</Data> <Data>0.0.0.0</Data> <Data>00000000</Data> <Data>c0000005</Data> <Data>77961a91</Data> <Data>18b4</Data> <Data>01cfc9cb4563cc18</Data> <Data>C:\fsx\fsx.exe</Data> <Data>unknown</Data> <Data>53cf56c3-35bf-11e4-8262-9cb654eb7d32</Data> <Data> </Data> <Data> </Data> </EventData> </Event>
jrrbolkin
Before you go down the road of a clean install read and try the attached info in this link.I mainly use P3D V2 these days but on a recent return to FSX I did get a few random crashes that were no happening last time I tried it,and as I had not added anything new other than ORBX libs there seemed no reason for the crashes.Anyhow long story short I found this article and it seems to have done the trick.it certainly will do no harm to try before the long install route. Good Luck. Gary. http://nakedpowershell.blogspot.co.uk/2014/08/four-recent-microsoft-kb-patches-can.html
