FTX SCO Clyde Estuary Anomaly

Hi guys,

Just installed the UK triple's into P3D v2.3 and saw this just after take off from EGPF Glasgow:

This road appears in the water when I have Europe selected or FTXG Hybrid mode enabled.

Important - the road disappears when I switch back to FTXG Non-Hybrid mode.

I have tried reinstalling FTX SCO and also clearing my scenery indexes.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Hi Wolter, it looks like the screenshot, with the road visible in the water.

To sum up...

FTX Central set to:

Europe - road visible in water

FTX Global hybrid mode ON - road visible in water

FTX Global hybrid mode OFF - no road in water (as it should be)

So all evidence thus far points to FTX Scotland, so I'm a little perplexed.

Thanks.

Hi again Wolter.

This evening I removed all FTX scenery entries and deleted the main Orbx folder, then reinstalled:

FTX Global Base 1.10 + 1.20 update.

FTX Vector 1.10 + 1.15 update

FTX OpenLC EU 1.00 all 4 parts

FTXORBXLIBS_P3Dv2_140703

Again everything was fine on the Clyde.

I then installed just FTX Scotland and the FTXORBXLIBS_P3Dv2_140703 libraries again.

Did the same tests as before trying different modes in FTX Central, same result.

Indeed I must be truly cursed because I fired up P3D 2.3 in "Europe" mode, took off from EGJJ Jersey for a spin and saw this at the north-westerly tip of the island:

Needless to say, when I switched back to pure FTX Global this anomaly disappeared too.

Please note that all my FTX scenery library entries are correctly above the OpenLC and Vector entries.

Perhaps that may help narrow things down?

Hi

I cannot see the screenshots in my browser but I was going to report a line running down the centre of the River Clyde between Bishopton/Langbank and Old Kilpatrick. I live locally and think ORBX have mapped a natural stone dyke which defines the limit of the navigable channel. The exposed rock is visible at low tide and permanent marker beacons sit on the dyke to show its limits at high tide. So, although its probably mapping a real feature - it looks a bit odd. Would ORBX consider removing it from future updates?

Otherwise - FANTSTIC SCENERY - thanks a lot.
