GrayRider
I'm getting ready to install KMRY. Looking at the KMRY control panel. I don't think my texture resolution is set to 4096 I'm wanting to change my texture resolution in my FSX.cfg to 4096. Can someone tell me were the setting is in my fsx.cfg and what the section is called. Maybe someone could provide a screenshot of the section in my fsc.cfg where I want to change my texture resolution etc. I don't usually go into my fsx.cfg, unless I know what I'm doing, making changes. Voyager
In this directory -> C:\Users\GrayRider\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX Open FSX.cfg with notepad. (save a copy before) and go to [GRAPHICS] then paste that line below TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096 Save FSX.cfg Voila!
GrayRider
I got it. All I did was change the value that was =1024 to 4096 and saved it. I went back to KMRY, but didn't see much difference. I'm wondering what the value did change, by going to 4096?. GrayRider
Alex Goff
Changing the value to 4096 allows FSX to load textures with a resolution up to 4096x, so the detail should be 4x greater than before. Keep in mind that if you open up the scenery settings and alter anything again, the value will reset to 1024.
