phoenixfly
Hello I am a newbie to fsx and to ftx....I downloaded the FTX Global. Next I did the executibal FTX global110. It went through the installation process well. Then I clicked on the FTX Central button and this is what erro I got.......................................I pushed continue tab next and the error message went away and brought me to the FTX Central but in a Continous Loading state. Help me....Please walk me through this fix in a basic conversation. Sincerely, Phoenix Fly See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\terrain.cfg'. phoenixfly
Okay this is scary... I feel alone. After making a financial committment to the product, I thought maybe there would be a quicker response to my cry for help. Anyway Iam not computer literate so what might take someone 2 hours to figure this out will take me twice that alone. So I am asking for someone to take my hand to get my FTX global base to work. Wolter van der Spoel
it seems that it could not find a file => Could not find file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\terrain.cfgso if you state that fsX is installed a C:/FSX then it looks like you moved the folder but the registry key is still pointing to the original install location. at the bottom of the support page there is a link for a registry repair tooly, run it , point it to your fsX.exe file within your main fsX folder and is should correct the registry entry. when finished doing that then add the attached terrain.cfg file to your main fsX folder, unzipp it first before tossing it in the main folder, run FTX Central again to see if that resolved the issue. terrain.zip
phoenixfly
Resolved thank you...but now the control panel will not open inside fsx central. I then tried to open the Control panel exe and in both cases im getting a "no configuration file " message. Please advise.
