michael63
Excellent job on the Norcal scenery. Many hours of investigating here. I found the San Mateo railway bridge to be broken or out of alignment. It could also look like this since the last earthqauke here.
Mallard
Check out Google Earth. That's exactly how it looks like Cheers Mallard
Alex Goff
Hi Mike, What you're seeing is the Dumbarton Railroad Bridge that has been out of service since 1982, the western span collapsed in 1998 and the drawbridge is left in the rotated open position. The pier/bridge you see to the north is the Hetch Hetchy Aqueduct. There's a little blurb about it on the Wiki article for the main Dumbarton Bridge to the north: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dumbarton_Bridge_(California)
michael63
Last time I was there were in 1992. Thanks for that info and sorry I did not do my research properly before posting. Just shows how detailed the scenery is.
BaronKen
Thanks for the info on that bridge; noticed that today while doing first flight in NCA. I wondered if it was an error that would need to be fixed or like that for real, now we know!
