jimbob
Hi I am running Ftx Au with the latest service pack and orbx libs installed. My issue is apart from the crisp textures immediately around the aircraft the sim is not drawing any autogen and crisp textures in the distance. Instead they are washed out until the aircraft gets closer. I am getting upwards of 50 fps with payware aircraft over the scenery and no tweaks to the cfg Any solutions? Photo out of Hobart for reference Cheers Jimbob
Tim Harris
First check GPU settings: Anisotropic filtering x16 And in FSX graphics settings 'Anisotropic filtering' is set, and Level of Detail Radius (LOD) slider is on maximum Also a good idea to defrag the HD FSX is installed on
jimbob
Thanks Tim Defrag has been completed many times before And your suggested settings applied but still no real improvement sorry. If required its windows 8 run in win7 mode if that may be causing any problems Cheers Jimbob
Tim Harris
Have you got some form of Antivirus running that is perhaps scanning FSX files?, just a thought
jimbob
Trend micro but I had it set to exclude fsx from the search. This issue was present before I had the antivirus set up Hmmm...
Tim Harris
Normally I would say you had a case of 'The blurrys' but the screenshot seems to show its more a filtering issue with the GPU Just to check.. its like that always?, or is it only after cycling views (including the tower view)
