AU SP4. Unhandled exception in Central

rc3705

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased and installed FTX AU SP4. After installing yesterday, FTX Central kept giving me an "Unhandled Exception" error, when attempting to switch from Default to Australia. After reading some posts here, I tried the suggested fixes of installing the latest ORBXlibs and updating the Microsoft .net framework. These fixes didn't work so I uninstalled the product in accordance to the guide in the FAQ section (As I thought the issue may be due to a corrupt installation). After a full reinstall, the issue has not gone away, with the same "Unhandled Exception" error occuring.

Note: I have not installed the recent AU patch (4.003), as I have not been able to get Central to set Australia as the region.

This is the log file or the error:

just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hello,

************** Exception Text **************
System.IO.IOException: The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open.

This indicates something within your system is preventing FTXcentral from operating correctly, usually antivirus or Windows security

First thing I would try is a cold re-boot of the PC, then try deactivating your antivirus,

Cheers
Tim
