Andrew Schofield
By popular demand - well, erm, at the request of one member (stand up Aussiecop) - here are some shots from the Aussie part of my grand tour. For those who avoided being subjected to a continous stream of screenies on the VOZ forums, about 12 months ago I started a tour from Scotland to Australia, via England, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Georgia, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and East Timor. After flying across Australia to Hobart I stopped posting, until now... These shots are an amalamation of three legs from Hobart in Tasmania to Wagga Wagga in NSW: Departing Hobart, with a bit of snow on Mt Wellington (it was winter) The Hazards, near Coles Bay on the east coast of Tassie Scamander. They don't call Tassie the Apple Isle for nothing... After a stop at a bush strip on the north of Flinders Island (thanks OzX), it was off to the mainland... The weather was not too flash it cleared enough to see an oil rig in Bass Strait though... Approaching Mallacoota on the far-east coast of Victoria Descending into Merimbula (YMER) on the south coast of NSW After an overnighter at Merimula, it was off towards Wagga Approaching Lake Jindabyne and the Snowy Mountains A peek at the Snowies through the cloud Approaching Wagga Next legs (if anyone's interested): Wagga-Wollongong-Port Macquarie
