airman_17
I just installed FTX AU and have found that FSX is now not able to get past the splash screen. I tried using the repair tool found on the FSX disk but that did not work. I had FTX Global and NZ North and South successfully installed prior. System Event Viewer says its a problem with Simprop.dll. I will do a clean install tomorrow if required but I would prefer not to. petfy
When ever I get a FSX splash screen crash, the first thing I suspect is a corrupted FSX pilots log file. Restore from a backup, or remove so that it can be regenerated.
airman_17
It wasn't the pilot log (that was the first thing I tried too). I gave up and am in the process of doing a full install. I'm a bit scared to try and run the AU installer (as you may imagine) but from what you posted it seems that the installer/product was not the issue so I guess I'll give it a shot after downloading and report back when thats done. Thanks for the help cheers, PK
