since the hard drive where the  Orbx folder resided  has decided to leave me, i'm in the need to reinstall everything on the new disk, so for the FTX regions i will follow the steps as indicated in the faq post on the forum, but the question is:  with regards to FTX global is better to install it to the last or in other way ?

Hi Kulbit, I've just completed my reinstall, I received some good advice here on the forum, and did it this way:-

Install Australian regions and airports plus all patches latest library then test. Reboot

Next all North American regions airports and patches latest library then test. Reboot

New Zealand regions airports and patches latest library then test. Reboots

Europe regions airports and patches latest library then test. Reboot

At this point I reinstalled my 3rd party airfields from UK2000, Aerosoft, FSDT ect rebooted test.

Then finally when I new all was well I installed Global allowing it to back up my textures.

This worked great for me.

Good luck

please make sure that all your OS stuff is up to date and set before starting anything with fsX.

if you have multiple drives then make sure that only the C drive is connected when installing the OS

clean install :

test if all works OK

REX, UTX, FS Genesis, FS Global etc etc + their recommended patches and or updates
test if all works OK
