tf51d
The temporary fix for DX10 with the black squares in the day for FTX Global lights requires renaming of the lighting bgl in the FSX's scenery\global\scenery folder. My suggestion is rather than require the user to edit a filename in one of FSX's core scenery folders and maybe skrewing it up, if they make a mistake, is it possible to set the FTX Central utility to do this itself, when activating/deactivating vector lights? This also has the extra benefit of recovering Virtual Address Space as right now even if these lights are turned off, the bgl for every light location is still active (Which is the cause of the DX10 problem to begin with) This way users can easily toggle this feature off during the day, and recover some VAS for these other VAS hungry addons like the PMDG NGX or LRX, to prevent OOM's. With all these addons pushing the limits of FSX right now, every little bit helps. Running 32bit Vista I've always had to deal with this issue, but it's getting to the point that even users with 64bit Win7's are hitting the limit as well.
