Hello,

I bought the above a couple of days ago and installed it

with FTX set to Oceana . Now when I set FTX to PNW or

Global with update the sim gets up to approx. 90% loading

and then I get "Windows has detected a problem in FSX and

will now close the program and notify you etc, etc, It doesn't

I have no problems flying in England, Australia or New Zealand

with FTX set appropriately.

When I take PAJN out of the sim and set FTX to PNW or Global

I can fly in PNW and Alaska normally....... Can some kind soul please

help?

Thanks in advance,

John.

Hi Wolter,

Everything FTX related I have on my computer IS updated.

One thing is concerning me, on another flightsim related forum

someone suggested that I put FTX Central to default before

installing Juneau. So, I start FTX central, all I can see is.....

Global,Oceania,Europe and North America. Do I have a

problem with FTX? This is driving me insane, I have never

had any problems before. This afternoon I got rid of Juneau

from the sim, set FTX to PNW and everything returned to normal.

Reinstalled Juneau, back to my problem?????

Thanks,

John.

Global is your new default.

As for what to set FTX central to when installing PAJN, since its an NA airport, it should be set to North America.

Uninstall PAJN completely (look in the FAQ forums for info on how to do that- Uninstalling FTX Airports) and reinstall with FTX central set to NA

Then install the latest ORBXLIBS.

Let us know how you go

Hi Misha,

I have done all the above with no success.

I can tell you that when I try to start a flight

at Juneau Intl Pajn . The sim doesn't seem to

recognise Pajn, it will only come up as the Juneau

SPB. Could I have a corrupt download maybe?

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

Very strange, could you try loading up at Juneau SPB (PAJ1), and post a shot of what you see?

I'm not sure if the entire airport scenery is corrupt or just your start points.

To post up screenshots check here-

Hi Misha,

No, sorry I can't,I think my scenery.cfg has

been corrupted, with your version of PAJN uninstalled

completely if I set up a flight from any where near

Juneau the sim will not start, even with FTX Global, I

tried a flight from Sitca to Juneau this morning with

the same results. If I set FTX to NA I can set up a plan

from Ketchican, I have the Orbx version and it works fine,

but I get to about 20 minutes out from Juneau another crash.

I've also noticed that FTX Global won't even let me set Pajn

as a starting point. It will recognise the SPB as a starting

point but again if I try to fly from there the sim crashes.

Do you know if I deleted my scenery.cfg would the sim build

a new one? Thanks for the help Misha but I'm about to tear my

hair out as I've never had anything like this happen before and

I do have a lot of ORBX installed.

John.

there's no need to pull your hair out, you'll end up bold ;)

first let's get this clear, you installed FTX_PAJN and from there things went haywire, correct ?

OK, proper way to un-install PAJN

Set FTX Central to NA

Delete from the folder .....\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\FTX_NA\ the FTX_AA_PAJN folder

go to => E:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\Scripts

delete the scenerylib_US_PAJN.cfg file

right click the FTXConfigurator.exe and run as Administrator, you will not see anything happenning as it is a silent application

fire up fsX and check that PAJN is as it was before the PAJN install ergo as it was with FTX_SAK, if yes, then reboot the system.

re-installing PAJN:

make sure you have Administrator rights

make sure that User Account Control is disabled

make sure that your main fsX folder and the fsX.exe are excluded from your AntiVirus scanner, in case of disable it for the install.

make that FTX Central is set to NA

run the PAJN installer as Administrator, give the unwrapper the time to show the lil pop up that you should NOT close it till the installer has finished, when the popup appears hit OK, wait till the installer screen comes up and install, wait till it all has finished and close the applications.

fire up fsX and it should rebuild the scenery Dbase, and select PAJN, make sure to select a RWY otherwise you end up in the water

hope this helps you to get things sorted

Hi Wolter and Misha,

I've solved it. I have Juneau installed and

working fine. I was playing with settings in

the sim and noticed that my ships and ferries

were up at 56%. I set all boat traffic back to

zero and that did it! It's just something I hadn't

thought of. I hope this info may be useful for

anyone else having the same problem as me.

Thank you both for putting up with me, and Wolter,

I can pull all my hair out but I don't think I'll

be getting any bOlder?!

Regards,

John.
