Don't know if this will help but I ran the 65S control panel through FTX Central.

 

Edit: Just read your sig. Im using FSX not P3D

Hmmm, P3D I presume? This is a little out of my league because 1) I don't have P3D installed, and 2) the shortcuts were not set up by me. I would right click the shortcut and choose "Properties", then first ensure that it points to "Path\to\P3D_folder\ORBX\Scripts\OrbxControlPanel.exe" in the "Target" field of the properties dialog. Then if not present already it should have a single space after OrbxControlPanel.exe" followed by this switch: /config=orbx_cpl_65S.xml which makes the CP shortcut 65S specific.

 

So what you should see in the target field should look like this:

 

"Path\to\P3D_folder\ORBX\Scripts\OrbxControlPanel.exe" /config=orbx_cpl_65S.xml

 

Note that "Path\to\P3D_folder is a generalization as I don't know exactly where you have P3D installed, make sure it points to your actual P3D folder. Mine for example for FSX looks like this:

 

"C:\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\Scripts\OrbxControlPanel.exe" /config=orbx_cpl_65S.xml

 

 

In the meantime let me see if I can ping Ed for a more definitive answer/solution. Thanks, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

Still odd, but the control panel does work via FTX Central so no worries. Over 50 screenshots in my review! Great work!
