Miked111
Hi there Can I just say that the work you guys do is awesome and I really enjoy flying amongst your scenery. I was just wondering if you could give me some assistance please I have recently installed FSX and re installed it and deleted the ORBX folder from FSX. I have reloaded ORBX NZSI and NZMF and NZNI and I now have blurred scenery and incomplete scenery for instances now when I land at NZLX the grass cuts through the runway and the scenery hasn't loaded probably in my opinion.... I have read on your forum site that I may not have uninstalled it correctly all i did was delete the ORBX folder do I have to delete any other folders before reinstalling? It is definitely not working as well as what it did on the first install that is for sure.... Can you tell me the procedure for uninstalling and reinstalling or if there is anything I have to do? THanks heaps Mike D
Wolter van der Spoel
clean install : fsX SP1 + SP2 or Acceleration, make you settings for Controllers, Graphics, etc., etc. test if all works OK REX, UTX, FS Genesis, FS Global etc etc + their recommended patches and or updates test if all works OK AU regions + all updates and patches test if all works OK AU airports + all updates and patches test if all works OK, possible need for installing latest library files NA regions + all updates and patches test if all works OK NA airports + all updates and patches test if all works OK, possible need for installing latest library files NZ regions + all updates and patches test if all works OK NZ airports + all updates and patches test if all works OK, possible need for installing latest library files EU regions + all updates and patches test if all works OK EU airports + all updates and patches test if all works OK, possible need for installing latest library files set FTX Central to default FTX Global, make sure to make a backup copy when prompted by the installer run the latest library files that should about cover it imho re-install : before attempting a re-install you must first delete the files/folders that could have become corrupted in this case for PNW, same applies for other regions as well. for PNW: set FTX Central to default/global, de-select all tick boxes, hit "Apply" and exit FTX Central. Go to => ....\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\FTX_NA delete the following folders: FTX_NA_PNW05_SCENERY FTX_NA\FTX_NA_PNW06_CVX FTX_NA\FTX_NA_PNW07_MESH FTX_NA_PNW08_CUSTOM Go to => ....\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\World\Scenery delete all files that have PNW in their name ADE_FTX_PNW_XXXX_elevation_adjustment the file extension can be .bgl or .off Go to => ....\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ORBX\Scripts right click FTXConfigurator.exe and select to Run as Administrator, you will not see anything happening as it is a silent application fire up fsX and confirm PNW is no longer present re-install PNW + updates and latest Library files check it is all working when re-installing fields in NA set FTX Central to NA re-install the fields with their respective patches and updates run the latest library files that should about do it
Miked111
Thanks Wolter I did as you said and the scenery appears to be working great nice and smooth again but and a big but for me ..... When i take of from NZLX on NZSI the runaway appears at the northern end to have sectors of grass cutting across it and runway 1 is cutting over the tarmac runway. It looks terrible it never used to do this is there any easy fix or is it best uninstall again and reinstall ORBX again. Frustrating when it worked so well the first time.... Thanks for any help you can give me Cheer mike

Wolter van der Spoel
Hi Mike, just popped over there and got more or less to the same position, but not having the issue Could you please try and switch FTX Central back to default/Global un-tick all check boxes and hit Apply, then switch back to Oceania, tick the tree box and hit Apply again as that should reset the scenery order
