Simul8
Hi Guys: After adding FTX Global last week, i decided to buy England and Wales today. After installing wales, running FTX Central and selecting Hybrid, and then installing FTX England, I found that i now have no Hybrid option, or lighting selection. Only that shown in the following image: http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/Vky also, when flying over London, something doesn't seem quite right as you will see here http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/Vk3 I've located the following thread in the FAQ about running the updates http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/63874-ftx-england-region-problem/?hl=%2Bno+%2Bhybrid and so i'm downloading them now and will report back when installed. My question being, are the Update downloads necessary on a product downloaded today (ie - does the installer not include the cumulative updates?) It's not a problem if it doesn't but it may be worth getting the store to point people in the direction of the updates when they are downloading the purchases if not. If they are, then i've clearly got a bigger issue that i'll be needing some assistance resolving. Lastly, a question about the Vector lighting. I'm sure that i have seen this somewhere already but im darned if i can find it again. In order to save FPS, when in Hybrid Mode, will the FTX Global Lights take precedence over the Region Vector Lights? Cheers Smiffy
Wolter van der Spoel
please run that latest library files again, FTX Global is from a later release date as the UK sceneries hence you need to re-install the latest library files available here => http://fullterrain.com/support.html edit: also make sure you get all patches for the UK and any other sceneries you may have installed as well and always run the latest library files last unless indicated otherwise
Simul8
Hi Wolter: Many thanks for the pointers. As you correctly stated; installing the patches and the Library Update resolved it, with the Library Updater being the thing that sorted it all out. Much appreciated. How long until FTX has the rest of the world covered i wonder? I don't want to leave the UK now that it's looking so good hehehe Also - Great Picture Wolter!
