Some tips if something is not working as intended.

 

Installing a software:

 

- The most important thing, read the manual carefully and follow his instructions

 

- The installation of the addon should be the only thing the PC has to do. So no videos, no emails, no games, no cigarettes and no defrag at the same time

 

- Start the flight simulator, place yourself to a gate of your choice and let the simulator run for about 1 minute. Let the addon still carry out his registrations. Then close the simulator and reboot the PC.

 

Now you can go exploring. It's that simple.

 

 

 

If there are problems, makes you allways aware of the following:

 

- Most of the Porbleme are sitting 40 cm ahead of the monitor   (I mean especially me)

 

- Do not underestimate the antivirus and the firewall. For example, the antivir may block only part of a DLL-file. Put your flightsim-file in the antivir-scan-exception-list. Read also here the manual carefully

 

- There are millions of combination possibilities between the addons. Do not think ORBX could test them all.

 

 

A tip for ORBX:

 

FTX Central should be a stand-alone progam. So it will not come to a downgrade.

 

 

Orbx makes really great addons, which are not that invasive. The support is friendly, good and spetitiv. No one is forcing you to buy their products. And who buys a brand new program will be automatically a Charlie-tester. Therefore, together instead of against one another.

We are releasing a new Orbx "Core" library set which includes the new FTX Central and other apps so you can quickly re-sync old product installs back to FTX Global.

We did not make FTX Central a separate program from our product installers because it makes the installation for a non-IT literate person more complex. We will update all our old installers to have the latest core files, but this will take some time over the coming month.
