miloguy
when flying , do you use more fuel flying at 35000 ft or when flying lower say at 20,000ft?
skypilot
The simplistic answer is you will use less fuel at a higher altitude. This has to do with the density of the air - the air is thinner at higher altitudes so to have the correct fuel to air ratio you need to reduce the fuel flow.
