TomG
Hi, I have noticed this occasionally in FSX before but I have seen it several times in PNW. Every so often I will see a quick flashing black polygon or box in the distance. It goes away quickly so it's not a big problem, but I'm curious what causes this. Near the Seattle area it happened several times near KSEA. Thanks. Tom

Tim Harris
Thanks Tom, The black square, is this by any chance the FSX PAPI type runway lights at airports, or are you seeing ground tiles flashing black for sec?
TomG
Hi Tim, I think they are tiles. They are usually out in the distance toward the sky or horizon. Sometimes small, sometimes a little larger. They flash very fast and then are gone. Thanks, Tom (PCAviator #85488)
Tim Harris
Hi Tom, Its probably tiles loading up in the distance, and your PC is having to search briefly for them on the hard-drive Without knowing your PC specs or which kind of flying you are doing (high-fast/low-slow f.e) all I could suggest is to make sure you have de-fragged after installing
TomG
Thanks Tim. I'll do a defrag. I have a homebuilt i7-920 overclocked to 4.0 ghz, 12 gig ddr3 ram, Asus P^T MB, GTX-275 1792 mb gpu.
