nopresnik
Hey, ever since upgrading to Windows 8, my YMML scenery only seems to render in the first spot the plane spawns at. If I start taxing around it gets really blurry. I have texture resolution set to 7cm. It was working just fine in Windows 7. Anyone else had a similar issue? nopresnik
UPDATE: This is not just at YMML, it seems to be happening everywhere. It seems like the terrain just doesn't render.
Wolter van der Spoel
sorry that I can't be of much help, still on W7 here, have a look here maybe it helps a bit, mostly blurries are related to slow loading times so a little info on what your hardware setup is also could be handy to give a more clear answer
quadraspleen
I had this problem when I first set FSX up on my W8 box. Fresh install. It turned out to be as simple as reducing my default view magnification to 45% from the default 60%. All of a sudden ORBX was back in HD. To do this, simply hit the minus (-) sign when in the VC. To hardcode it, use either EZDOK or OpusFSX (or edit your cameras config file) It may not be that but it was for me. If it doesn't fix it, what Wolter said ^^ I have now sorted all of my issues on Windows 8 (very few tbh, mostly connected to compatibility modes and running stuff as admin and installing it somewhere other than Program Files (x86)) and am loving it. It loads quicker and seems to crash less. No performance gain (other than the placebo one in my head lol) hope this helps, best jake
