Used dx10 preview for the first time which improved fps around the airport from average 16 to average 24. Everything seems fine except the runway glass has morphed into what looks like cardboard cut outs of large bushes ! Has anyone else seen this effect and can anyone suggest a fix ? Stan V Posted March 9, 2013 Share Posted March 9, 2013 I cannot speak officially for Orbx but I do know this is a known characteristic of the DX10 preview mode with Orbx scenery. John Venema Posted March 9, 2013 Share Posted March 9, 2013 Bill Womack's grass which is used at EGFF is not yet DX10 compatible but he is working on a fix which will be an Orbxlibs patch. alehead Posted March 26, 2013 Share Posted March 26, 2013 I hope no one minds me adding to this thread, because my issue relates to grass in Cardiff too. I noticed while parked on the GA apron that the grass is transparent. By this I mean that the aircraft is fully visible when viewed "through the grass" at ground level. Here is a screenshot to illustrate what I mean: May I note that I do NOT use DX10 Preview mode, this is in good old DX9... Is this perhaps what Bill Womack is working on?
