Crusher Posted February 11, 2013 Share Posted February 11, 2013 Hi Guys, Not sure if this is the correct forum but I know that Port Macquarie Hastings council has just started an upgrade of YPMQ to be finished by June so that it can safely accomodate A320/B737 aircraft including widening and lengthening the current runway and building a new apron area. Tim Harris Posted March 6, 2013 Share Posted March 6, 2013 Hi Mike, Our airports are to be seen as sort of 'snap shot' in time, We use the most up to date aerial imagery we can at the time of creation, however real life airports are always constantly evolving (or devolving lol), this is not something we are able to accommodate in a static product unfortunately In the case of YPMQ, it might even be years before we would be able to obtain new aerial imagery.... though I do agree with you a lengthened runway would be nice Cheers Tim Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
