rooby007
Hi, Downloaded PNW demo several times from different servers and it won't install. When I try to run the "OrbxFTXPNWDemoV2.exe" file, I keep getting an error message saying it "isn't a valid win32 application". This is the only file in the zip package. I'm running Win7 64bit. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.
rooby007
Update: tried AGAIN. Seems there is a problem unzipping the package - I've tried the native windows unzip, WinRar and 7Zip. All seem to generate corrupt files which won't install. Any help appreciated - not a great advert for FTX!! Thanks.
Wolter van der Spoel
if you try to run the exe from within the zip file it won't work, you'll need to unzipp it in it's own folder and then run it as Administrator if you are using W7 you need to have Admin rights and make sure the UserAccount Control is switched off
rooby007
Hi Wolter, As per my update below, I have tried to unzip it with 3 different tools - all encounter errors of some sort. When I do eventually get "OrbxFTXPNWDemoV2.exe", I get the error message that it isn't a valid win32 application. I am an admin and have UAC turned off already. Thanks. rooby007
Ok, I'll try that. Thanks. Maybe you can answer something else for me...? I recently bought UTX ad GEX Europe (before I discovered FTX!). If I go ahead and get FTX England, will it replace BOTH of those products, or does FTX still make use of UTX? Thanks! Wolter van der Spoel
FTX uses it's own textures and will replace the ones in the covered area only, so outside of the FTX area you will have the other products showing
David T Ogden
My PNW demo will only install to desktop, then when I click the icon I get an error message. Isn't it supposed to install to the FSX folder? tks
