freddy Posted September 13, 2012 Share Posted September 13, 2012 The AWOS (Automated Weather) frequency at Masterton (NZMS) is 132.80. The NZMS traffic frequency is ALSO 132.80. This clash causes the automated weather frequency to continually play, repeating over and over, whilst the pilot is attempting to report his position prior to landing or his intentions for takeoff direction and runway choice etc. The charts for NZMS indicate that the frequency for AWIB (Aerodrome Weather Information Broadcast) is 132.80, and that traffic advisory (unattended) is 119.10.
