VivJan
FSX was running ok, but DX10 was ticked just to see if there was any difference, it has been ok when tried previously, however this time all we get is the splash screen, the program is running & the only way to stop it is to use ctr-alt-del & end the program from task manager. What can we do, we would prefer not to have to do a re-install. Thanks Jan & Viv
pmb
Hi, if you activated DX10, your fsx.cfg should hold a line D3D10=1 in the [GRAPHICS] section. Change this to D3D10=0 and FSX should start in DX9 mode again. If everything fails, just delete (after making a backup) your fsx.cfg, FSX should create a new one in DX9 mode. Kind regards, Michael

Looks like Michael got there a little before me.
