fltsimguy
Just to the south east of NZME there is a gravel pit or open pit mine operation which is filled in with a waterbody. In my setup it shows with the lake in the bottom of the gravel pit as being elevated. Is this my setup or can someone else replicate this issue? http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/131BRYANWALLIS_PC_2012_au.jpg http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshots/images/454BRYANWALLIS_PC_2012_au.jpg

Jethro VH-JET
Hi Bryan, This feature is quite correct, the open pit mine is filled with water, attached is a GoogleEarth shot of the location.
fltsimguy
Yes I see that, but I was referring to the depiction in the FSX scenery where the mesh has the water in a plateau, not sunken into a lake.
Alex Goff
It looks like the mesh and the shoreline data don't quite correspond. That's a common bug with gravel pits and mines since they change frequently in the years between when the shoreline data is assembled and the mesh data assembled a lot of change can take place. Holger should be able to comment on this but I believe he's out of office for a days. I'll note it for him to check out
fltsimguy
More than anything I just wanted to be sure that there wasn't something wrong with my setup. Its not a big deal, I just happened to be flying low and slow and found it. I can actually create a polygon myself and lower the elevation and create a deeper pit. cheers
