mjleprix
Have been successfully using Windows 8 Release preview etc with FSX for 3 months now and very happy with it so having also been impressed with Orbx scenery pictures I decided to download Tasmania Demo. Everything seems OK but do not get the control panel icon for the demo listed in the control panel area. Has anybody tested orbx with windows 8,as I have had a scripting issue with one other program. Or Should there be an icon there for Tasmania Demo.
Tim Harris
Hello, and welcome, I know nothing about Windows8, and if our products work with Windows8 correctly With the demo you should have a FTXcentral icon, if not you will find the FTXcentral.exe in FSX/ORBX/Scripts/FTXcentral, just right click on it and 'Send to desktop > (create shortcut)' Cheers Tim
mjleprix
Thanks Tim. Have the ftx central on the desktop but when I open it and activate Australia under the control panel there is no icon for Tasmania demo
Tim Harris
Hi again, Yes that is correct, you should have a [Australia] button, press that, and click Apply, close FTXcentral, load up FSX and choose an airport in Tasmania to start from, Launceston airport is good place to start When you wish to return your FSX to default (i.e: the way it was before) open up FTXcentral again and select [Default FSX] and click apply. Tim Harris
Hi, There is no control panel for the Tasmania demo, if you have opened up FTXcentral and clicked on [Australia] and pressed 'Apply' thats it, you're ready to fly Cheers Tim
