dolf8857 Posted July 4, 2012 Share Posted July 4, 2012 due to problems I had to rebuild my PC: Other MOBO, graphix an HD. Now I was wondering if I have to re-download my NA scenery's and patches for install or is it ok to use backed up files from my old HD? Getting unshure cause of my 2 last FSX reinstall setups corrupted my w7 (won't boot anymore) and I can't figure out what causes the problem. Ian Routley Posted July 4, 2012 Share Posted July 4, 2012 It is fine to use backups. You will need the same authorisations you required the first time around. It really is hard to imagine that ANY FSX install could render Windows unbootable. More likely an occult Harddrive or other hardware issue. Perhaps related to an abberant driver? dolf8857 Posted July 4, 2012 Author Share Posted July 4, 2012 Many Thx for the reply, It's really frustrating after 5 times of install still looking what goes wrong but after changing all this hardware it sure must be software. Taking days now for setting up all, After every addon install I make a new C drive backup and see if it reboots:) FSX + adds are on D root.
