However i have real difficulty getting anything above 8fps i72600k o.c 4.2ghz asus rampage iv extreme dual his 6870 GPUs 16gb ram 500 gb velo rap HDD 120gb SSD 1000w psu win7 home prem 64bit os graphics anisotrpic, anti alling global texture very high advanced animations (aircraft very low) scenery detail radius lrg mesh complex 80 mesh res 5m text res 7 water eff llow scenery complex very dense autogen very dense special eff high no traffic and weather very low I am stumped at how these people on youtube have very smooth graphics and mine are extremly poor. the videos on your website show a very detailed and smooth flying also.. judson1980 Posted May 8, 2012 Share Posted May 8, 2012 First thing to do is push your cpu a touch more. I have same Mobo and CPU and run at 4.8ghz. Literally type 46 in your clock speed and you will gain significantly and very safe to 4.6ghz. I think your duel card is the issue. Can you disable crossfire and try that. I use Nvidia 680's SLI but 2 cards takes some setting up and zero benefit. Also try deleting your fsx.cfg and start fsx again this will clear any issues there. I get 30fps solid at PNW with Cessna 172 on i7 950 at 3.07 so it is nothing to do with processor speed.
