alexf
I had the opportunity to see a Piaggio P-180 at Tamiami airport (KTMB). A beautiful plane. Talked to the copilot for a while. It does 370kts! . 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.
real
Nice pics. I wish we could have a nice one for FSX.
Iain Emms
Yes a fine set of photos there Alex, the plane looks great and with that shape should go like a bullet. cheers Iain
tanker50
Wilco released a P180 Avantii for FSX. I purchased the plane, and while it is not without its quirks and problems, it is fun to fly. There is also a freeware version for FSX available on Avsim. Do a search for "ersp180fsx.zip" Mike Gutierrez. North Hollywood, Califfornia
RudiJG1
My brother-in-law flies and instructs from the cockpit of one of these (based in FL, too) and he likes to brag about how it's faster than some of the smaller passenger jets.
jjjallen
A real beauty! I especially like the rear turboprop engines which should make for a quiet ride. Thanks Cheers jja
Dave Frost
Is it just me?, I truly find this plane incredibly ugly! Regards Dave
Appliance
I know it's akin to heresy to mention FS9 in these forums, however I fly FSD's bird in that sim. The striking thing one notices is not the speed, appearance or configuration but just how long this aircraft takes to decellerate. Its just SOOOOO slippery. A real challenge in fact. NaveenB
The central office for Piaggio in the US is at KPIE in St. Petersberg FL. I did some training there and you can see these planes taxiing around all the time. They are truly unique to look at, I wish I could have gotten into one. pilottj
I used to work for an FBO as a ramper, used to service them sometimes. Very beautiful airplanes, and easy to work with. I liked them because they had a single point refueling port...(common on bizjets, not turboprops)..no need to climb up on a ladder with a heavy fuel hose....hated Caravans for that, especially in the winter
CathyH
Frosty, matter of opinion, I love it and also the less than succesful Beech Starship (altjough a modern version probably would be a success- it was ahead of it's time) Would love a Starship for FSX, Have the Avanti

Chandy
It isn't just you, Dave. I find it ugly, too. It may be an aerodynamic whizz, and that's what is important, but I think it is 'over-styled'. The Beech Starship looked more masculine. But this....? John G
