CathyH Posted January 16, 2012 Share Posted January 16, 2012 Taken with Active Sky weather and X Graphics. The aircraft is the 727-100 from Captain Sim. The repaint is from Nath's repaints. NAC did not operate the 727. althpoughn they did very seriously consider it, to the point of sending crew sto train on her. They decided to purchase the 737-200. The RNZAF did operate 2 second hand 727-200's which have now been replaced by second hand 757's. Nath has an RNZAF repaint of the CS 727 as well. One NAC 737 200 still exists in the USa in semi derelict condition, moves are afoot to purchase her ands return her to NZ for restoration to static display Climbing out from Queenstown Up the Middle of Middle Earth! Just south of Hokitika, heading up the West Coast Vectored to the East coast and approaching the mouth of the Opawa River and Vernon lagoons on finals to Woodbourne.
