Guest ciejeid
I'm relatively new to FSX and computers in general. I would like to become more interactive with FSX and start playing multilayer; is there a host or server that most FTX users are flying on? As i will shortly be commencing my PPL i would like to become familiar with radio calls (controlled and local). If some one could please point me in the right direction that would be very much appreciated. Cheers Craig.
grumman
Hi Craig, There are a number of multiplayer servers around, but if you want genuine ATC experience you should join VATSIM, the Oceania branch of which is called VATPAC. For more info: vatpac.org www.vatsim.net I've only been flying on VATSIM for a few months. There's a few steps involved but I'm happy to help out if you want. The experience is pretty close to real-life procedures. There's a regular VFR flying group called Virtual VFR, run by Paul Phibbs through VATPAC, who posts details to this forum. Website is: www.virtualvfr.com Paul is planning to run a radio course online on VATSIM shortly, which may be of interest. Details here: orbxsystems.com/forums/index.php?topic=4901.0 Best of luck. Guest ciejeid
Thanks for the reply Greg. I've Registered with vatsi ( have got id and password). But to sure what to do now, do i have to download anything? or do i have to change any settings in multilayer to enable vatsim? I do apologize for my lack of computer terminology but like i said befor I'm very new to the computer thing. Cheers Craig.
